Upgrade stdlib to this version or later

Description

ReverseProxy can be made to forward certain hop-by-hop headers, including Connection. If the target of the ReverseProxy is itself a reverse proxy, this lets an attacker drop arbitrary headers, including those set by the ReverseProxy.Director.

Affected versions

Go

PackageVulnerableFixed in
stdlib
< 1.15.13
>= 1.16.0-0, < 1.16.5
1.15.13
1.16.5

How to fix

Move to the fixed version or later with your package manager, update the lockfile, and run your tests. If the package only arrives through another dependency, upgrade that dependency first. If none of its releases pulls a fixed version yet, force the version with your package manager's override.

stdlib Go → 1.16.5

go
go get stdlib@v1.16.5 && go mod tidy
