2013.1.3- Upgrade nova to this version or later
Description
OpenStack Compute (Nova) before 2013.1.3 and Havana before havana-2 does not properly enforce the os-flavor-access:is_public property, which allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive information (flavor properties), boot arbitrary flavors, and possibly have other unspecified impacts by guessing the flavor id.
Affected versions
PyPI
| Package | Vulnerable | Fixed in |
|---|---|---|
| nova | < 2013.1.3 |
2013.1.3 |
How to fix
Move to the fixed version or later with your package manager, update the lockfile, and run your tests. If the package only arrives through another dependency, upgrade that dependency first. If none of its releases pulls a fixed version yet, force the version with your package manager's override.
nova PyPI → 2013.1.3
- pip
pip install --upgrade "nova>=2013.1.3"- poetry
poetry add "nova>=2013.1.3"- uv
uv add "nova>=2013.1.3"
