# Our cloud or yours

MergeHarbor runs as a managed cloud service or inside your own network. The product is the same either way; what changes is who runs it and where your data lives.

## MergeHarbor Cloud

Every plan

We run it for you on AWS. Connect a code host and reviews start in minutes.

Your code host

MergeHarbor Cloud (AWS)

MergeHarbor

Model providers in your region

- Hosted on AWS and operated by MergeHarbor
- Inference restricted to US or EU regions on Enterprise
- Zero ops: upgrades, scaling and backups are ours

## Self-hosted and on-premise

Enterprise plan

Run MergeHarbor inside your own network, on your cloud account or your own hardware.

Your network

Your code host

MergeHarbor

Your models: vLLM, Ollama or Bedrock

- Kubernetes with Helm: EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift or your own cluster
- A single VM with Docker Compose
- AWS with Terraform modules
- Air-gapped, with open-weight models served in your network by vLLM or Ollama
- An offline license key, checked without calling home

## The same in both

- ### Every feature

Reviews, the merge gate, triage, security scans, Insights and the agent work the same way.

- ### SSO and roles

SAML 2.0 or OIDC single sign-on, SCIM provisioning and custom roles.

- ### Audit log

Every action is recorded, with streaming to your own tools.

## What differs

| Aspect | MergeHarbor Cloud | Self-hosted and on-premise |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Who runs it | MergeHarbor | Your team |
| Where code and data live | MergeHarbor's AWS account, inference in the US or EU | Your cloud account, data center or air-gapped network |
| Models | Routed to allowed providers and regions | Your own provider accounts, Bedrock, or models served in your network |
| Upgrades | Automatic, no action needed | You choose when; migrations run before the new release starts |
| Plan | Every plan, with a 14-day trial | Enterprise |

## Before you self-host

- ### OpenShift

Everything runs under the restricted-v2 SCC except proof runs: the optional sandbox needs gVisor and a fixed user, so it needs a custom SCC.

    [Read the details about OpenShift](https://mergeharbor.com/docs/self-hosting-helm#openshift)
- ### Air-gapped models

Open-weight models served in your network by vLLM or Ollama work air-gapped. Claude through Amazon Bedrock in an air-gapped network is not confirmed yet.
